This policy explains what personal data The Showcase Hub ("TSH", "we", "us") collects when you use tshbranding.com or order from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
1. Who we are
The Showcase Hub (TSH) is a custom packaging and print studio at No 14 Akinbaiye Street, Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email contact@tshbranding.com or call 0707 095 2864.
2. What we collect
When you ask for a quote on this website
- Your name, phone / WhatsApp number and email address
- The service you're interested in, an estimated quantity, and any project details you type
If you join our mailing list
- Your email address, and your first name if you give it. We email you one link to confirm the address, and you are only added to the list once you open it. Your details stay on this website's own hosting; we do not pass them to an email-marketing company.
- We also record when you signed up, when you confirmed, which page you signed up on and which of our emails have been sent to you, so the series is not repeated.
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, which works in one click and takes effect immediately. You can also reply to any of our emails and ask to be removed.
When you contact us or place an order
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email, Instagram or TikTok, and the number or account you use
- Delivery details: recipient name, phone number and address
- Payment records, such as the name on a bank transfer, the amount and the date. We never ask for or store card details or banking passwords.
- Artwork, logos and files you send us to print. These can contain personal data, for example names and photos on wedding invitations or contact details on business cards.
Automatically, when you visit the website
- Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working.
- We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels on this website. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so visiting the site doesn't send your data to Google or other third parties. The only cookies are two strictly necessary sign-in cookies in the private admin area used by TSH staff; visitors never receive them.
- To stop abuse, the quote form counts how many requests each connection sends (using a scrambled, one-way code made from the IP address) for 15 minutes.
- If we run a mailing-list popup, your browser remembers (in its own storage, not a cookie) that you've seen or used it, so it isn't shown again too soon.
3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. This is a step you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- To design, print, deliver and support your order, including sending proofs and updates. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records. This is to comply with our legal obligations.
- To protect the website and our business from spam, fraud and abuse. This is our legitimate interest.
- To show finished work in our portfolio and on social media (see section 4). This is our legitimate interest in promoting our work, and you can opt out.
- To send you offers or news, only if you have agreed to it. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Photos of your finished order
We like to photograph jobs we're proud of and show them on this website and our social media. These photos show the printed product and your brand, not your customers' personal data. If an item carries personal details (for example names on invitations or a phone number on a business card), we'll blur them or ask you first. If you'd rather we didn't feature your order, tell us at any time and we'll remove it.
5. Who we share data with
We only share what each party needs:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email, delivers quote-form requests to our inbox and carries our mailing-list emails to you
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there
- Courier and delivery partners: the recipient's name, phone number and address
- Our bank, for processing payments you send
- Professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers), under a duty of confidentiality
- Government or law-enforcement bodies, when the law requires it
6. Transfers outside Nigeria
Some of these providers, such as Hostinger and Meta (WhatsApp), may process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards allowed under Part VIII of the NDPA, including the provider's own data-protection commitments and, where needed, your consent.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become orders: up to 12 months, then deleted
- Order, invoice and payment records: as long as Nigerian tax and company law requires (generally six years)
- Your artwork and design files: up to 2 years, so we can reprint quickly if you reorder. Ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a short period, normally no more than 90 days
8. How we protect it
The website runs over HTTPS with strict browser security settings. Order information is only available to TSH staff who need it, on password-protected devices and accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affecting your data ever happens, we'll notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the NDPA requires.
9. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- be told how your data is used (this policy)
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted, where we no longer need to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it, including for marketing
- receive your data in a commonly used format, or have it sent to someone else
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email contact@tshbranding.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through this website.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
